To qualify for this Remote Area Nurse Role, you must be confident in emergency response, self-reliant, and adaptable. Working in remote communities means you’ll often be the first and only point of contact for patients. Therefore, the ability to triage, assess, and treat independently is vital.
Essential qualifications and experience include:
- Bachelor of Nursing (accredited Australian qualification)
- Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Proven triage skills in emergency settings
- 5+ years in emergency and remote nursing
- REC/MEC training (highly desirable)
- Australian work rights
