Chief Internal Auditor Key Responsibilities

The Chief Internal Auditor will be responsible for leading the internal audit function at PRCL, ensuring that all financial, operational, and compliance-related activities are thoroughly reviewed and audited in alignment with industry best practices. Key responsibilities include:Icon of Jobs

• Audit Leadership: Lead the Internal Audit Department, overseeing all duties outlined in the internal audit charter of PRCL.Icon of Jobs
• Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and oversee the internal audit strategy, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all reinsurance operations, including underwriting, claims management, and capital investment activities.Icon of Jobs

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

• Professional Accountants: Must be a member of a recognized professional body (CA, CPA, ACMA, ACCA). Alternatively, an MBA in Finance from a reputable institution
• Master’s Degree Holders: A Master’s degree in Finance from a Higher Education Commission (HEC)-recognized university.

Experience:

• Professional Accountants: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in auditing, risk management, internal control procedures, and financial compliance
• Master’s Degree Holders: Minimum of 10 years of experience in audit, finance, or compliance functions

Preferred Certifications & Experience:

• Certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA)
• Industry Experience: Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Public Sector Experience: Understanding of public sector structures and working knowledge of PPRA Rules and Regulations
• Technical Skills: Exposure to ERP systems and knowledge of IFRS 17 implementation
