Key Responsibilities in the System Support Engineer Role
- Remotely or onsite, troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting customers’ mission-critical operations.
- Commission and install Stratus products on enterprise client sites.
- Lead the problem-resolution process from analysis to closure.
- Partner with internal product teams to communicate defects and improvements.
- Document each case effectively using Stratus’ CRM tools.
- Ensure timely updates and detailed reporting back to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Deliver specialized technical training to customers and partners to prevent recurring issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 7 years in customer-facing IT support or consulting roles.
- Solid expertise in Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, SSH, and SSL.
- Comfortable working with packet analyzers, network traces, and routing protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple support cases simultaneously.
- Must be willing to travel to client locations within assigned territories.
